To My Children (People of Pakistan)
This letter is to my sons and daughters who claim that they love their mother but they never mean that. I trusted them in every crisis I faced that they will come and help me but they never listened to my cries. I gave them shelter, food, security, freedom and above all RECOGNITION in the world but today when I needed them most they have deceived me. I am heartbroken but still I will pray for them that wherever they go in this world they live happily. However I have one question from them so it will be a favour by them to me if they answer to me about this.
Are you sure that all the sufferings or pains which you are facing today are because of your motherland (Pakistan)?
Let’s analyze that how many times I called you to come forward and help me in solving your problems but you ignored all the calls of your “so called” beloved motherland. I knew that you will face these issues at some time in future but you never listened.
1. I looked towards you when my body was cut into two pieces but you never responded. Where were you when your mother was being divided because of the ego of your so called beloved leaders? Why you never protested for the unity of your motherland and instead you followed you beloved leaders and let my enemies succeed in dividing me? Do the children who love their mother behave like this when somebody attacks or hurts their mother? Decide by yourself that whether it was your motherland’s fault or yours?
2. I thought you will learn a lesson when you tore me apart but you again forgot me and when I was left with four parts, you starting to give me slow poison in the form of sectarianism and above all provincialism. You loved more to be called as a Punjabi, Balochi, Sindhi or Pathan than being called as a Pakistani. Today you are again going to divide me and I am waiting for that date. I will not blame you but will simply ask from you that whose fault is this? Am I responsible for this?
3. You again and again select the same people to be your leaders and they eat my body every time they rule me. Whose fault is this? Am I responsible for selecting those corrupt people time and again?
4. I am daily bombarded by foreign forces but you my children do nothing. You only come out when your leaders say you to do this. Then why you are cheating on me by saying that you love me? I call you daily to come and help me but you never listen and when your leaders call you, you even forget to put on your shoes and run towards them. Why these double standards? You say you love me but never come to save me instead you love those of your leaders who are eating me slowly but surely.
5. You do corruption, robberies, rapes, killings and don’t know what else on my chest, but still you say you love me. Knowing the fact that all these things are maligning and killing your mother.
6. Whenever you want to protest you destroy me by burning tyres on the road, destroying my infrastructure and all other things which you see around. I haven’t seen such children who make their mother ugly by their own hands.
There are so many other questions which I want to ask from you but I leave it to you that you will think by yourself. At the end I would request you my children that please clarify yourself. Do you love me or not? If not then please do not lie to me that you love me, simply tell me that you cannot defend your motherland. I waited for SIX decades that may be someday you will come to save me but now I am tired of waiting. I am surrounded by wolves and unfortunately my children are the LEADERS of those packs of wolves. My eyes are full with tears but still I am happy that at least I am dying through the hands of MY OWN children.
I may not survive for a longer period if you do not come to my help now. But I will always pray for you that wherever you live, may Allah bless all of you..Aameen
