Explanation Required by the People of Pakistan from Chief of Army Staff and Intelligence Chief

I was a strong supporter of Pakistan Army and Intelligence agency (ISI) and most probably will remain so (because of my emotional attachment). But I have to say that from last few months I have not even a small clue that how our army and intelligence agency is defending our country. They are making blunders which can bleed us heavily in future. Recently few such incidents occurred which forced me to write about this.

1.     Raymod Davis: Entire world knew that he was not a diplomat and he killed two citizens of Pakistan and even that not in self defence. Only GOD knows what he was up to. But what happened to him? He enjoyed a good time in jail of Pakistan and later on he was allowed to move to USA even without passport. What was our army and agencies doing at that time? Why he was allowed to leave the country when his case was in court? It seems foolish to think that our army and ISI had nothing to do with it. How it is possible that army or ISI chiefs had nothing to do with it when almost every top level decision is endorsed by them. People of Pakistan have the right to know that what exactly happened in Raymond Davis case.

2.     Death of Osama Bin Laden: Pakistan’s stance on Osama Bin Laden was that he is not in our territory. Now all of a sudden he was killed by CIA operatives in Abbottabad, Pakistan. A city which is hub of Pakistan military besides GHQ, Rawalpindi. There are many questions which need to be answered by the government of Pakistan and especially the heads of most powerful institutions of Pakistan (Army and ISI). The most important question to be answered is that how Osama Bin Laden succeeded in finding a hideout under the nose of army and ISI?

3.      Sovereignty: Where is the sovereignty of Pakistan? What was the oath of army and ISI chief when they were appointed? Aren’t they under the oath that they will protect their homeland from all external threats at any cost? If so then what were they doing when USA personnel completed a major operation near Pakistan Military Academy (PMA)? Why there is no official statement from ISPR that what and how this operation was conducted and above all who conducted this operation? If Pakistan was not involved in this operation then who will guarantee that tomorrow any other country will not act in the same way? Can we trust our army and intelligence agencies that they are capable of defending us?

I would like to suggest to the heads of ISI and Pakistan army that please come forward and explain to the nation that what really happened in these incidents. Take your nation into confidence because they will fight and die for you. USA or any other country will never come to help you. We have tested them again and again. Do not betray your people, they are your real ASSETS...Remembers what your predecessor said: FRIENDS BUT NOT MASTERS

  1. Nice Article Mubashir !

In my opinion, regardless of whether Osama was in Pakistan or not, such an activity on Pakistan's soil is in itself tantamount to the fact that Pakistan's sovereignty is in unsafe hands. I guess by staying quiet, pakistan (govt, ISI and army) has given a very negative message to the world. Actually, this has gained importance, and we are more critical to our government and army, because a name like Osama was inside this whole scene and this became a talk of the town otherwise, Pakistan government, army and ISI has already given an unspoken allowance to US to attack and do operations on Pakistani soil in the name of Drone attacks ! so if we see more deliberately, it is not the first time.

by saying all this, i would, however, admit my lack of knowledge in politics and strategic issues and i would give a small margin of error on the name of "in-the best-interest-of-nation" to Pak Army and ISI for acting in such a way.

On the same issue, following article is also well written.
